Tours of the Young Vic
We are happy to give backstage tours to our local schools. Our Backstage area is quite small and basic; the tour can include showing students the dressing rooms, stage and props. It is harder to show the technical elements of the theatre to groups of students, but if you have a specific interest in lighting and sound it may be possible to arrange a special session.
Because of the size of the backstage area we normally follow up a tour with a talk given by members of Young Vic staff. This can be tailored to suit your interests and might be from one of several departments including box office, front of house, marketing or the production team who work backstage during shows.
The tours and talks would normally last between 45 minutes and an hour.
