Young Vic Staff
Permanent Staff
The Young Vic has a permanent staff team made up of about 35 people. They form the core company running the theatre and creating our productions and projects. Each year this team work together to achieve an enormous amount, for example:
- We produce about 10 productions in our own theatre, which often tour the UK and internationally.
- We welcome over 100,000 people to our theatre, to see our shows, participate in our theatre activities or simply to relax in our caf� & bar.
- We distribute over 10,000 free tickets to schools, young people and local residents in Lambeth and Southwark.
- We deliver tailor-made learning projects for hundreds young people in and out of school.
- We involve hundreds more young aspiring directors, designers, technicians, choreographers and actors in our development programmes, including employment, training, workshops and seminars.
Freelance Staff
In any year we employ over 150 people in full time, part time, casual and freelance roles.
We employ actors, directors, designers, stage managers, carpenters, technicians, project assistants and costume staff for each production. These people are selected by our artistic and production staff based on the needs of each specific show.
