CSR

Many companies choose to support our much needed outreach work with young people and community groups. Be associated with our inspirational workshops, inclusion projects and training schemes that reach 10,000 members of our diverse local community each year.

Recent case studies of corporate engagement

  • We are delighted that Barclays Capital has made a charitable donation towards our 2010 community show. This will give a unique opportunity to over 100 people of all ages and backgrounds from our diverse local community to work together promoting community cohesion as they produce something they can be truly proud of.
  • In 2009 Bupa supported 'Young@Heart' - a new creative participation programme that engages local elderly residents with theatre making workshops and excursions. Bupa felt this was a great opportunity to support older people while giving staff new volunteering opportunities. We are delighted that Bupa are continuing their support by sponsoring our upcoming production of On Ageing.
  • As Education Partner for Amazonia, 45 HSBC staff got involved by volunteering at our schools performances
  • A grant from the KPMG Foundation enabled us to run a two year project with young refugees, helping them to integrate into the local community through arts-based training and theatre workshops
  • Production company talkbackTHAMES and the Young Vic developed a highly successful technical apprenticeships scheme, with a specific agenda to increase the number of ethnic minorities in technical theatre and television roles. The apprenticeships included studio tours, backstage passes, career and practical skills sessions as well as work.

Upcoming projects which need your support include:

Theatre making projects with vulnerable and at-risk young people
Technical and vocational training programme
Community production
Schools programme
Two Boroughs Project – working with community groups in Lambeth and Southwark
