FAQ

How old do I have to be to join?

As the Young Vic has an extensive programme of work with young people, the focus of the Two Boroughs Project is on adults. So anyone from 18-118 is more than welcome to join. We also welcome family groups and community groups as well!

I don’t live in Lambeth or Southwark, can I still join?

Unfortunately you can’t. This is because the Young Vic is funded by local authorities and we have to report back to those funders to continue to receive the backing to do this work. We are a registered charity and our focus in on working with our local community – although we would love to invite everyone, this is not possible.

How will I find out about free tickets or workshops?

You will receive updates regularly from the Two Boroughs Project. We usually try to send out a newsletter every two months, however this can very. We often send emails letting you know the latest offers, but don’t worry if you don’t have access to email – we make sure we post out any information to our non-email members as well. You are always more than welcome to call the Two Boroughs hotline any time and find out what is the latest thing happening at the Young Vic!

If I apply am I guaranteed a place on workshops or getting free tickets?

As both the workshops and tickets are free we always have a high demand for places and tickets. We always do our best to make sure everyone has an opportunity to take part in whatever they would like, but due to limited places we operate on the basis that priority is given to those who have not taken part in something else before, or seen a show at the Young Vic before. Sometimes we have last minute cancellations, which we will always let you know about if you have missed out in the first instance.

I am not sure if this is for me – how can I find out more?

If in doubt, the best thing to do is ask. It doesn’t matter what your question is – trust us – we have heard everything! You can either pop in for a chat (sometimes better to call and see if we are around first), or just phone the Two Boroughs hotline – 020 7922 2861 and ask any question you may have.
