8 to 12 yearsEach year we run up to three projects for young people aged 8 to 12. These projects aim to develop at an early stage young people’s theatre skills and will usually take place during the summer and half-term holidays.

14 to 20 yearsOver the course of the year we run a number of projects for young people within this age range. Activities focus on acting, directing and technical theatre. The length of projects varies from one off skills workshops, to week long programmes of activity, to three month productions.
Examples of projects include young people’s productions of King Lear, Annie Get Your Gun and The Brother’s Size; series of theatre skills workshops; a singing weekend project working with creative team of Been So Long; and one off workshops focusing on devising theatre.
E-mail youngpeople@youngvic.org to let us know you're interested and we’ll get in touch with the next available project.
The Young People's Council allows young people aged 16 to 25 years to get more involved with the running of our organisation. The council meets on a regular basis to advise and support the work of the Young Vic, also taking the lead on organising one-off projects throughout the year. Participants have the opportunity to access further training and work experience, attend press nights and special events as well as acting as ambassadors for the organisation.
Recruitment for the council is every 18 months. If you would like to find out how you can get more involved, e-mail youngpeople@youngvic.org and we'll get in touch with the next available recruitment date.
