We’re looking for a Head of Learning (Maternity Cover) to join our Taking Part department.

Based on The Cut in Waterloo, we produce new plays, classics, musicals, adaptations of books, short films, digital projects and more. We attract large audiences from many different backgrounds; we have deep connections in our neighbourhood where we provide extensive free activities. For many years the theatre has been synonymous with staging international works created by some of the world’s finest directors, performers and creatives; productions that say much about the world we live in.

We are looking for an exceptional person to cover our Head of Learning whilst she’s on maternity leave.  This is an opportunity to join the outstanding Taking Part team and deliver the exciting existing programme of work in our Learning strand.  This year long cover is ideal for an experienced project manager who is ready to take the step from an operational position to a more senior, creative role in a participation department in a producing theatre.

We actively encourage people from a variety of backgrounds with different experiences, skills and stories to join us and influence and develop our working practice. We are particularly keen to hear from people of colour and candidates who self-identify as disabled. All candidates who self-identify as disabled who demonstrate that they meet the essential criteria will be invited for interview.

This is a 12-month fixed-term position.  As we are working to a specific time frame, please find dates below.

Salary: £30,000-£32,640 (depending on experience)

Apply by: 9am on Monday 2 September

First Interview: Monday 9 September

Start date: Mid-late October (flexible)
