On-sale information

How do I get tickets?

24 Hour Tickets and Advance Timed Tickets will go on sale:

To Soulmates & Friends on Thu 2 Mar at midday
To General Public on Mon 6 Mar at midday
To book tickets during the general on-sale visit this page.

Bookings are strictly limited to 2 tickets per order.

If you follow the booking link before the general on-sale time you will enter an online waiting room which will hold you until the on-sale.

When the general on-sale begins, you will be automatically assigned a random number in the online queue. The page will tell you where you are in the queue and an estimate of how long it will take for you to get through to our ticket pages.

On-the-Door tickets will be available in person at the Young Vic Box Office from 4pm on Fri 19 May until 3.30pm on Sat 20 May.

FAQs

  • If I join as a Soulmate or Friend in order to access priority booking, am I guaranteed to be able to get a ticket?

    Toggle

As a one-off, 24-hour event, tickets for The Second Woman are limited. Those with access to priority booking will have the best chance of getting a ticket. However, once on sale, tickets will be first come, first served and we cannot guarantee that you will be successful.

  • I’m a Soulmate/Friend who tried to book advance tickets but was unsuccessful. Why did priority tickets sell out if there are still some available for general sale?

    Toggle

A generous proportion of the total tickets available were on offer to members for priority booking, but in line with the Young Vic’s commitment to access, there is also an allocation for the general public.

  • I have an Advance Timed Ticket – how long am I going to have to wait?

    Toggle

We won’t be able to predict exact wait times, but we’ll post estimated wait times throughout the day on our social media channels from around 2pm on Fri 19 May to keep you updated.

  • If I queue for an On-The-Door ticket, will I definitely get in?

    Toggle

On-The-Door tickets will become available when an audience member decides to leave the show and their seat becomes available. Therefore, whilst it is extremely likely you will be able to get in, we cannot guarantee entry to the show for anyone queuing for On-The-Door tickets.

  • Can I leave the show and give my ticket to a friend so they can go back in instead of me?

    Toggle

Re-entry to the show is only available to ticket bookers, who will be required to show their tickets and a form of personal identification on re-entering the show via the General Queue.

  • Are seats reserved or unreserved?

    Toggle

All the seating for The Second Woman is unreserved, excluding wheelchair seats. However, if you have access needs that require specific seating, please get in touch with our Box Office team who will help as best they can.

  • Is the view of the stage the same from every seat?

    Toggle

The view varies from different areas of the auditorium. There are:

    • Seats with a clear view of everything
    • Seats with a clear view of the stage and partially restricted view of the projections
    • Seats with a clear view of the projections and a partially restricted view of the stage

Where you sit will be first come, first served. However, as audience members decide to leave the show and space becomes available, you are free to move into other seats and enjoy the show from different angles.

  • I have access requirements. How can I see the show?

    Toggle

The Second Woman will be Audio Described, BSL interpreted and Captioned at the following times:

    • 4pm – 6pm Friday 19th May
    • 9.30pm - 11.30pm Friday 19th May
    • 10am – 12pm Saturday 20th May

These are available as Advance Timed Tickets and can only be booked by contacting our box office by emailing our boxoffice@youngvic.org or calling 020 7922 2922. On arrival, access patrons with these tickets are invited to join the front of the Priority Queue.

There are wheelchair accessible seats available with a 24-Hour ticket, or as On the Door Tickets via the General Queue.

All access tickets are available via the Box Office only. Like all other tickets for The Second Woman, these will be first come, first served, so we advise contacting us as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

  • I have access requirements that mean I cannot stand for long periods of time. How can I hold a place in the General Queue for Door Tickets?

    Toggle

Seats will be available on the day for those who require them. Please let the Front of House team know of your requirements when you arrive, and they will assist as best as they’re able to.

  • Will there be food available during the show? / Can I bring my own food? / Will I be able to get food in the queue?

    Toggle

The Cut bar will be open for food and drink until late (or early!). Bringing alcohol or food in from outside the theatre is not permitted.

  • Will the queue be covered in the event of bad weather?

    Toggle

Cover won’t be available until later at night. We hope for good weather, but please check the forecast in advance and dress appropriately. We’ll post further details here once confirmed, and you can follow us on social media for updates. All ticket holders will be emailed this information in advance.
