We set Angela and Tanvi up on a blind date on Valentine's day at The Cut Bar & Restaurant before watching The Brothers Size.Β We caught up with them afterwards to see if love was in the air...

Tanvi on Angela:

What were you hoping for?
A romantic Valentine's evening!

First impressions?
I thought she was extremely pretty, and clearly intellectual as I found her reading a book on social theory in the bar when I arrived...

What did you drink in The Cut Bar and was it a good place for pre-theatre mingling?
I had a glass of red, and The Cut had a great buzz to it.

What did you talk about before the show?
What other shows and movies we'd seen recently, our university pasts and jobs.

Any awkward moments?
I walked into a wall after we said goodbye at the station but I'm hoping she didn't notice.

Describe them in 3 words.
Classy, switched-on, mysterious.

What did you think of The Brothers Size - and was it a good date night play?
Absolutely loved it - made us both laugh and we were transfixed throughout - was particularly nice to see it on its last day as the cast were clearly ending on a high.

Tell us about your date using as many emojis as you like.

What star rating would you give the evening?
5 stars - being sat next to Riz Ahmed for the duration of post-show dinner was the cherry on the cake!

Would you meet again?
I'd be up for doing something again..

Angela on Tanvi:

First impressions?
Very pretty.

What did you drink in The Cut Bar and was it a good place for pre-theatre mingling?
Glass of the house white. I'm a big fan of The Cut. And we had dinner after as well!

What did you talk about before the show?
Theatre, the Young Vic, Moonlight.

Any awkward moments?
A colleague from work was also at the play which was a funny coincidence.

Describe them in 3 words.
Sweet. Funny. Smart.

What did you think of The Brothers Size - and was it a good date night play?
If you are both fans of Moonlight and the playwright then yes--which we both were! I really liked The Brothers Size--I'd like to read it to pore over the text.
