Young Vic, 66 The Cut, Waterloo
London , SE1 8LZ
The opportunities offered through the Creators Program are for artists and producers who are presently working in the industry and are part of their continued professional development. Consequently, the opportunities are not part of a course and there is no accreditation.
We realise that it can be dispiriting to write letters, applications and proposals and not get a sense of why decisions were made. Consequently, where possible, we will provide opportunities to receive feedback, and this will be clearly indicated in the application process.
The Young Vic has an ambition to produce classics, revivals, new writing and cross-art form work. We have a small Artistic team who aim to see as much professional work as possible across the UK. We do not have a Literary Department and therefore we are unable to accept unsolicited scripts at this time.
There are a number of theatres which do accept unsolicited scripts such as The Bush, Theatre503, Live Theatre, the Royal Court, Paines Plough, HighTide and Talawa.
Due to the volume of enquiries and invites, we are unfortunately not able to respond to everyone. If we are able to engage with your work, we will let you know as soon as we can.
We predominantly work with freelance Casting Directors. If you are interested in being in a Young Vic production, it is best to get in contact with the Casting Director working on that specific production. To find out who is casting which show, please look at the 'Creative Team' section on the show's webpage.
The Creators' Program are not currently accepting work experience placements. To talk about work experience please contact the Learning strand of the Taking Part department.
