Audio description is a live verbal commentary on the visual elements of a production. It is delivered in-between dialogue on stage and is picked up by an easy-to-use headset. Complimentary tickets are available for accompanying carer.
For the best experience, please let us know when you book one of the above performance that you want to take advantage of our audio description offer.
Assistance dogs are always welcome at the Young Vic, if you are planning a visit please let us know in advance which performance you will be attending and we will be happy to look after your dog during the show.
Relaxed Performances welcome people with learning disabilities and/or additional sensory and communication needs. During the show, audience members should feel comfortable making noise and moving around as and when they need to in a friendly environment. Complimentary tickets are available for accompanying carer.
We offer a number of tickets for every performance for people who use a wheelchair. As our auditorium is different for every show, we suggest booking via the box office so we can make sure your seats are suitable and your visit is as easy and enjoyable as possible.
If you are booking for Changing Destiny, you can choose to transfer into a theatre seat or utilise a wheelchair space. These tickets are available online: just look for the wheelchair symbol on the seating map. You can also book these spaces by getting in touch via the Box Office.

INFRARED AMPLIFICATION SYSTEM
The Young Vic has an infrared amplification system for use by patrons during performances. Headsets can be collected from our Front of House team upon arrival at the theatre. Please let us know when you book if you want to take advantage of the system.
The box office counter also has an induction loop service.
Please note: To help us ensure we have all the devices we need for every performance, we will ask you at the point of booking whether you will need a hearing device by emailing email@example.com. Devices can be collected from the Box Office on arrival and will be cleaned thoroughly before and after every use.
