Taking Part Workshops for Young People

We're really excited to share a new series of free workshops for young people led by some incredibly talented creatives. Applications are now open for workshops in Directing, Design, Drama School Preparation and Voice.

Introduction to Directing
Monday 20 - Friday 24 Feb, 10AM - 6PM.

This is a free course for young people aged 18 – 25 across London, who have an interest in being a Theatre Director. This week long course will give you the opportunity to found out more about theatre directions; the course will include practical workshops led by Theatrical Director Sacha Wares as well as trips to see various productions at London Theatres.

No experience is necessary but we are looking for enthusiastic, committed and creatives individuals with an interest in directing.

Introduction to Design
Wednesday 15 - Friday 17 Feb, 10AM - 6PM.

This free course for young people aged 17 – 25 across London, who have an interest in Theatre Design. This week long course will give you the opportunity to find out more about theatre design; the course will include workshops led by Jemima Robinson as well as backstage theatre tours and trips to see various productions at London theatres.

No experience is necessary but we are looking for enthustatic, committed and creative individuals with an interest in theatre design.

Drama School Preparation Day
Wednesday 25 January, 9AM – 6PM.

If you are applying to Drama School this year we will be running a Drama School Preparation Day for young people aged 17 – 25. During this practical workshop, run by Toby Clarke, participants will acquire the skills to improve, sharpen and deliver both classical and contemporary monologues for drama school audtions.

Applications must live or study in Lambeth or Southwark and have applied to an accredited drama school.

Please note that you must have a contemporary and classical monologue prepared and learned off by heart which you will be asked to perform on the day

Voice Workshops for Young Actors
Thursday 19 and Thursday 26 Jan, 6PM - 8.30PM.

Join us for two free vocal workshops for young actors, 14 - 18 years old,  based around the production of Once In a Lifetime. 

They will be led by a specialist voice coach, who will explore articulation, accents and how you can use your voice effectively as a performer.

We have twenty spaces for these workshops and it’s important that if you apply you can attend both workshops.

Applicants must live or study in Lambeth or Southwark.
