Lucy has been Executive Director at the Young Vic Theatre since May 2022, following nine years as Executive Producer at the Royal Court. She was previously the founding Executive Producer at National Theatre Wales, launching NTW in 2009 with Artistic Director John McGrath and producing the first three years of work, including The Persians on a Brecon Beacons military base, Coriolan/us in an aircraft hangar, and The Passion with Michael Sheen across the whole town of Port Talbot.
Previously, Lucy was Executive Producer at the Donmar Warehouse and Head of Studio at the National Theatre under Nicholas Hytner. Lucy was Literary Manager at the Donmar Warehouse in the 90s before leaving for a five year stint in the film industry, commissioning, developing and working on feature films. She started her career as an Assistant Director at Kneehigh Theatre.
Lucy is Co-Chair with Alessandro Babalola of Soho Theatre Walthamstow and a Trustee of Brighton Dome & Festival. Her climate leadership is recognised in the industry, as a Creative Climate Leader 2017 and Creative Green Champion 2020. She has been a Fellow of the RSA since 2010.
